(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, July 14, will be sunny and hot, with highs near 100 degrees and east/northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon.
Lipson says we could see isolated afternoon thunderstorms, which will be more numerous in northwest Fremont County, including Dubois and Togwotee Pass. There is a broad area of high pressure over the middle part of the country, and these thunderstorms will ride up and over the perimeter of this ridge, taking them across northwest Wyoming and creating “ridge-rider” storms. Any storms that do form will potentially produce brief 55 mph wind gusts.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s and evening northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph.
