(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, September 17, a low pressure center will be tracking closer to Wyoming, which means widely scattered showers and thunderstorms.
These storms could produce small hail, heavy rain and wind gusts up to 55 mph.
The winds will maintain an average speed of around 30 mph throughout the day, Lipson added, and storms will likely continue into tonight under cool, partly cloudy skies
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that the showers and thunderstorms will mainly affect areas across the west and north, with more wind expected on Wednesday along with widespread showers.
High temperatures will be in the 60’s and 70’s for most today, with lows tonight in the 40’s.
