(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that a strong low pressure center will be approaching the British Columbia coast today, July 25, which will increase the pressure gradient in our area, resulting in southwest winds up to 20 mph.
Lipson added that these winds will draw in hotter temperatures under mostly sunny skies, with the possibility of isolated afternoon thunderstorms, mainly over higher terrain in the Wind River Basin. These storms will likely move into the Basin and become more widespread this evening into tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has shared that critical fire weather conditions persist today, and that cooler temperatures with widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday and Saturday, with potential for locally heavy rainfall.
High temperatures will be in the upper 80’s and 90’s today, with lows tonight in the lower 60’s for most.
