(Hudson, WY) – Hudson Mayor Sherry Oler publishes the Mayor’s Minute monthly in the Hudson newsletter. Below is her minute for the month of June.
Summer help started June 3, welcome back Kadance Kummer!
The WAM Convention in Pinedale provided some great contacts, including a potential grant opportunity to fund more Svilar Park upgrades and the USDA offered grant application assistance for engineering of the sewer project.
I passed the FEMA Flood Plain Manager certification course and received positive feedback on our flood grant application.
We received a successful bid for the Water Meter Project, and I confirmed with the vendor the products will fit the town’s needs. Estimated delivery of water meters is the end of July.
Hudson Daze was a whirlwind event and brought large crowds to have a good time. The rival Rotary Club softball game was also a hit, the parking lot was full of spectators!
Mosquito spraying started in town on June 19th.
In July, the Frank’s Meats annexation process will start.
The Town Hall flooring will be replaced under warranty starting July 15 due to faulty installation.
Level 1 Water Master Plan meetings continue and is on track.
The Lander Spay and Neuter group requires $6,000 to start addressing the feral cat population in town.
A generous donation from a local resident and the donation jar at Hudson Daze brought us more dollars towards our goal. We will continue to solicit donations for the project.
The Brownstone Project (SPURR Program) gathered a lot of great feedback from Hudson Daze participants, idea boards are at town hall, and we ask for your feedback.
