Below is her update/wrap-up for the month of September.
I met with Fremont County Emergency Management to complete the annual assessment of Hudson’s preparedness and needs in the event of a natural or manufactured disaster.
The Berce Trust reimbursed Hudson for the cemetery fencing expense. The Trustees of the Berce Trust now are considering helping the town replace the aged, deteriorating irrigation lines and irrigation system controllers.
The Cemetery Committee started an audit of the cemetery maps and records. Any volunteer help is welcome. If you are committed to Hudson’s Cemetery, contact Town Hall with your name and phone number for information on the next meeting.
I will meet with Headwaters Economics on the 27th to explore their offerings for flood mitigation assistance. I am attending a FEMA online seminar for Flood Plain Administrators tomorrow. I continue to work every angle for Hudson flood mitigation and grants. The USACE and FEMA grant applications previously submitted are still pending.
Hudson’s Lead/Copper inventory required by the DEQ was prepared and submitted.
Replacement and exercising water valves and fire hydrant replacement continues as contractors are available.
Town council held a public meeting on the Frank’s Meats Annexation report and the Animal Ordinance amendment and after public discussion, the meetings were closed. First readings of the Annexation report and the Animal Ordinance amendment will proceed at the October town council meeting.
Pre-construction meetings for the Frank’s Meats waterline extension project and the Water Meter Replacement Project were held. Construction has begun on the Franks project and the water meter replacement project is approximately 50% complete.
Meetings continue with HDR Engineering and WWDC regarding the Level 1 Water Master Plan.
Communication and meetings continue regarding Hudson’s DEQ SPURR project for Main Street.
Midwest Assistance Program agreed to help Hudson with a grant application for a Wastewater System pre-engineering report.
