(Lander, WY) – Notices have been placed in Lander City Park along the edges of the Middle Fork Popo Agie River, alerting the public of a risk in pathogen-related illnesses currently in the waters.
The notices were posted by Fremont County Public Health on July 24 after the area was monitored.
Swimming and similar water contact activities are not recommended at this time, and neither is the consumption of the water without first filtering, boiling, or using other treatments that will remove pathogens.
Folks are encouraged to call your doctors or veterinarians if you believe you or your pets are sick due to the pathogen exposure.
