(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, April 2, a low-pressure center over the Northern Plains will track toward Minnesota, but local weather will still be under the influence of its wide circulation.
Cool, moist air will wrap around the back side of the center, so even after morning snow subsides, we will still be at risk of some isolated rain/snow showers in the afternoon, under mostly cloudy skies. Tonight will be mostly cloudy.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that most snowfall will occur over the mountains and across Johnson/Natrona Counties, but is expected to end by tonight. Light snow chances are likely Thursday and Friday, before a warm-up starts this weekend
High temperatures will vary across the 10 today, with Dubois and Jeffrey City in the 30’s, the South Pass area at 28 degrees, and the rest of Fremont County in the lower 40’s.
Lows tonight will be in the lower 20’s and upper teens.
