(Fremont County, WY) – “A Pacific trough will be tracking from the Pacific states across the Great Basin, and that will tighten our pressure gradient today, resulting in increasing south-southwest winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour this afternoon,” according to County 10 Meteorologist Dave Lipson.
“There’ll be some monsoonal moisture eeking its way north into southern Fremont County this afternoon, resulting in isolated thunderstorms over Lander, South Pass, and Jeffrey City. And some of these storms could have localized wind gusts of 40 to 50, possibly 55 miles per hour. And then, by early evening, the storms will make their way into the Riverton area.”
