(Fremont County, WY)—The jury trial for Conrad Tillman has been reset for a third time, and is now scheduled for February 10, 2025.
Tillman faces charges for first degree murder, discharging and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and use of a firearm causing murder, in relation to the April 14 murder that resulted in the death of 36-year-old Utahnna BearComesOut (aka Tillman).
Tillman pled “not guilty” at his June 10 arraignment hearing, and since that time his jury trial has moved from August 12, to October 21, to December 16 and now to February 10.
The most recent rescheduling was announced at a Motion Hearing held on November 12 before the Honorable Judge Kelly H. Rankin in Cheyenne, where a motion for an Ends of Justice Continuance filed on November 7 was ultimately granted by the Court.
The motion states that the Defense’s retained expert was “involved in an accident that has made him unavailable to complete his work for the Defense,” and is “due to take a cognitive test to evaluate whether he is able to return” on November 19.
If the retained expert is allowed to return to work, he will “need additional time to
prepare his report,” and if not, the Defense will then need to “seek a new expert to replace him prior to trial.”
