(Riverton, WY) – Protest goers assembled at Federal and Main in Riverton on Labor Day to voice their opinions. Over 50 Fremont county locals showed up with some signs in support of unions and some against billionaires.
Here’s what some of the attendees had to say:Carol Chidsey stood with her sign advocating for workers over billionaires on Labor Day in Riverton. “I’m a republican,” said Chidsey. “But I don’t like how Trump is ripping the country apart. I want civility.” h/t Carl Cote, County 10Protestors stood with their signs in City Park in Riverton Monday. “Workers are getting screwed more and more in this country,” said Jaun Laden (left.) “This fake president said he was going to help the workers, but the workers are really gonna eat it in the next few years… He’s enriching himself… By any standard, getting that airplane gifted to him is a clear case of corruption, but nobody does anything about it.” h/t Carl Cote, County 10Phyllis Roseberry stood with a sign in support of unions on Labor Day in Riverton. “We care deeply about our democracy,” said Roseberry. “I want my grandchildren to grow up in a working democracy.” h/t Carl Cote, County 10Nicole Wagon stood with her grandchildren Raphael and Maeleah at the Labor Day Rally Monday in Riverton. “We need to uphold the constitution and our resolutions,” said Wagon. h/t Carl Cote, County 10Al Hofer stood with a sign that read “Hands off our public education,” Monday in Riverton. “I’ve been in unions for 55 years,” said Hofer. “The democratic party is in trouble right now… We’ve got to do something about Trump.
