In the Mosaic Lantern Workshop, you’ll create a stunning lantern suitable for indoor or outdoor display, learning the intricacies of glass cutting, adhesion, and grouting. If autumn leaves are more your style, the Mosaic Fall Leaf Workshop is where you’ll design a large, vibrant leaf mosaic mounted on wood, perfect for capturing the essence of the season.

Get Tickets Now: Tiny Beautiful Things with Communal Pancake & Susan Streater
Tickets are now available for the upcoming performances of “Tiny Beautiful Things,” a powerful play about reaching out when you’re stuck, healing when you’re broken, and finding the courage to face life’s toughest questions. The performances will take place from the end of September through early October, with six shows scheduled.
Based on the bestselling book by Cheryl Strayed and adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos, Tiny Beautiful Things personifies the questions and answers that “Sugar” was publishing online from 2010-2012. When the struggling writer was asked to take over the unpaid, anonymous position of advice columnist, Strayed used empathy and her personal experiences to help those seeking guidance for obstacles both large and small.

Art After School: Get Ready for a Creative October!
An exciting new season of Art After School is gearing up for this October! Designed to spark creativity and develop artistic skills, Lander Art Center’s after-school classes offer young artists the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums and techniques in a fun, supportive environment.
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up:
- October: Drawing, Sketching, Shading, and Shadows—Students will dive into the fundamentals of drawing, experimenting with pencils, inks, and Scratch-Art to create dynamic compositions.
- November: Painting with Watercolors and Acrylics—This month will focus on painting, where students will explore different sizes and textured surfaces to bring their artistic visions to life.
- December: Printmaking Techniques—Young artists will learn the art of printmaking using foam sheets, creating unique prints on both light and colored paper.
