(Lander, WY)—The Free Church will hold the grand opening of its new community playground at 1215 HWY 287 on Sunday, Aug. 25, from noon to 2 p.m.
The community is invited to come and hang out, have food, and meet people. The kids can go and play. It will be a casual event-nothing too structured, shared Amy Applegate from the Free Church.
The church initially had a tiny, dilapidated playground. For over a year, they had planned on building something that included a place to sit and was safe for children to play on.
The LOR Foundation in Lander provided a grant after the church started the new playground.
“They gave us a grant, so we can make a playground that’s open to the public, and so it’s a lot more than it was since we have some funding from them,” Amy shared.
