On April 28th around 6:50 pm, a house on the 1000 block of Diane Court in Lander had an electrical short in the attic, shared Lander Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) Chief Bobby Johnston.
Fortunately, the resident was home and heard the short. Responding quickly was their neighbor and LVFD firefighter Larry Sutt who was able to hit the fire with an extinguisher stopping it before causing major damage, Bobby explained. The damage was contained to some insulation and a wood joist.
