(Lander, WY) – The Lander Free Medical Clinic recently announced that it is officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
According to the notice, “This is a huge step that keeps the Free Clinic on the right track to opening later this year and advancing our mission: To provide free health care services to low-income and uninsured residents of Fremont County, Wyoming through the support of generous volunteers and donors.“
What 501(c)(3) status means for the Free Clinic:
- Ability to access donated medical supplies, equipment, and medicines that are critical to providing patient care
- Increased opportunity to apply for grants that set up the clinic for long-term financial sustainability
