(Lander, WY) – At last week’s Wyoming Department of Education TeachCon conference, Gannett Peak Elementary Kindergarten teacher, Stephanie Rhine, was awarded the first-ever “Rising Star Educator” award for the state of Wyoming.
“This award highlights a new teacher (5 years of experience or less) who has shown exceptional promise and dedication in their early years of teaching, demonstrating a potential for a remarkable career in education,” Gannett Peak Elementary Principal Megan Park shared with County 10. “Stephanie was the sole recipient of this award and was nominated by administrators and colleagues at Gannett Peak.”
FCSD #1 had a great night overall at the conference, where Rachel Peters (National winner PAEMST), Richard Atnip (State finalist PAEMST), and Morgan Hahn (State Teacher of the Year), were all acknowledged for their accomplishments, and Lander Valley High School was recognized for being named as one of Degenfelder’s Schools of Excellence for 2025.
