(Jackson, WY) – The Lander Legion C team came out strong against Jackson Thursday with two wins by way of the 10-run rule. Lander scored 36 runs in two games.
William Oland earned the complete game win in game one throwing just 65 pitches in 5 innings and striking out 5. Lander’s defense was solid holding Jackson scoreless until the final inning.
In game two, Lander had a 15-run second inning led by Dane Kramer’s triple to the fence. Grady Eagle earned the win in game two.
Head coach Brian Oland has high hopes for the team this year.
“This is a really solid group of ballplayers. We focus on fundamentals and it’s paying off. I trust every kid to pitch in the games and we have depth at every position. I’m proud of the kids for buying into the hard work this year.” 
Other notable stats in the Jackson doubleheader: Grady Phillips went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Gage Toups went 3 for 3 with an RBI. In game two, Dane Kramer went 3-3 with 4 RBIs and Grady Eagle went 3-4 with one RBI. Lander combined for 27 hits in game two.
Lander is now 12-4 on the season and 3-3 in conference play. They have a non-conference doubleheader against Cody today in Cody.
