(Lander, WY) – The Lander Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Meet the Candidates Evening Social this Friday, October 4th between 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Inn at Lander.
“Last Friday’s social in Riverton was a great event, ” said Owen Sweeney, CEO of the Lander Chamber. “Folks stayed well after the candidates spoke, and many conversations went on for a good long while. Originally held in Lander during the 2020 general election cycle, the Lander Chamber’s Meet the Candidates Evening Socials are not debates or forums, but rather intentionally relaxed, nonpartisan meet-and-greets designed to allow both candidates and chamber members to converse in a more intimate setting. Members of the public are welcome to attend, and tickets will be sold at the door.
At this Friday’s social, Chamber members and guests can expect to hear from at least 13 candidates running for the Wyoming House of Representatives, Fremont County Commission, Lander School Board (FCSD #1), and Lander City Council. Representatives of the Forward Fremont County PAC (½-cent economic development tax) and Citizens for Improved Roads PAC (1-cent roads tax) also have confirmed their participation.
Wyoming Community Bank sponsors the Lander Meet the Candidates Evening Social, and County 10 is the event’s Preferred Media Partner.
Tickets for Chamber of Commerce members are $15 and $20 for non-members. Mamaw’s Kitchen will serve heavy hors d’oeuvres, and the Lander Ambassadors will serve refreshments. Details and a registration link can be found at this link.
