Spend time with an experienced Wyoming rockhound to gain firsthand knowledge of the rocks, minerals, and geological features unique to our region. Wyoming rockhound Bob Carlson will present on this fascinating and rewarding hobby in the Lander Library’s Carnegie Room at 6 p.m. on August 13. You will learn the ins and outs of rockhounding, what equipment to bring on your excursions, and the best resources for continuing your education as a rockhound.
Bob will also present Rockhounding 101 at the Dubois Branch Library on Aug. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
