(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that a vigorous trough of low pressure will be tracking east across southern portions of the Rocky Mountains, and a surface low will be developing along the New Mexico/Colorado border as well.
Lipson says we will feel the effects of the far northern reaches of this weather system today, November 26, mainly in the form of light snow this afternoon over southern Fremont County, including the Wind River Mountains above Lander, South Pass, Beaver Rim, and Jeffrey City.
An inch or two of snow is possible in these areas by this evening, Lipson added, and we will see partly cloudy skies tonight as the snowfall comes to an end.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that local snow chances will decrease by Wednesday morning.
High temperatures will be in the lower 30’s for most today, with lows tonight in the 20’s and teens.
