Starting his campaign for Wyoming Senate District 26, Mike Bailey said “Having served for many years on the Riverton Planning Commission, Riverton City Council, in addition to many other local committees and boards as an advocate for the citizens of Fremont County, I am excited to take on this new challenge and responsibility. I will remain open minded and compassionate while promoting fiscally responsible, Conservative, Republican, and business-oriented values in the Wyoming State government.”
Mike’s business experience and record of real-world problem solving are crucial skills needed in state government. With longtime Senator Eli Bebout retiring, Mike’s experience in business, industry, retail and the grassroots level of government, are assets that Fremont County needs. “We have many challenges ahead of us, but I am confident that together resilient and hardworking people of Fremont County will overcome the current economic challenges and continue to thrive – as they have throughout our history.”
Mike has lived in Riverton his entire life and worked at the family business for over four decades. For the last six years he has represented Ward 3 on the Riverton City Council. He also served for over 30 years on the Petroleum Marketers Association where he currently is the Wyoming Chairman. He and his wife June have nine children and can often be found at the various civic events that they support.
During the Friday night cruise in Riverton, Mike will be at the West Main Pit Stop at 6:30PM. He invites everyone to stop, share their opinions, and take home a sign. “The Riverton cruise has been a great example of our community spirit and pride. I look forward to visiting with everyone this Friday.”
