(Fremont County, WY) – The Fremont County Fire Protection District (FCFPD) announced that more local firefighters are heading out of state to assist with wildfires, according to a post shared on the FCFPD Facebook page on August 9.
“Type 6 Engine Crew with FCFPD members headed out this morning bound for Springfield, OR to assist with the Willamette Complex Fires,” the post reads.
The Willamette Complex North in Oregon consists of the Pyramid, Slate, and Ore fires, which totalled over 3,800 acres on Friday.
More than 1,500 personnel are assisting with the fires, including the FCFPD Crew.
