(Lander, WY) – Forest Service Road 300, known locally as “the Loop Road” or “Louie Lake Road,” is partially open, County 10 confirmed with a Washakie Ranger District representative on May 29.
The road is open from Sinks Canyon to the Burnt Gulch Gate, and from the South Pass side, it is open up to Louie Lake, the representative shared.
A date for the full opening of the road is not known at this time, but historically, it usually occurs in early to mid-June.
