(Lander, WY) – The Lander Police Department has apprehended a suspect in relation to the reported attempted arson of the Lander Bar that took place early Monday morning this week, according to a press release issued by the LPD Chief Scott Peters on December 12.

On the morning of Monday, December 9, 2024, the Lander Police Department received a report of suspected arson at a popular local establishment in the 100 block of Main Street in Lander, Fremont County, Wyoming. The suspected arson happened at approximately 4:30 AM. The case was meticulously investigated by Lander Police Department and a suspect was identified.
In the early evening of Wednesday, December 11, 2024, a thirty-three (33) year old Lander man was apprehended and remanded to the custody of the Fremont County Detention Center on Criminal Trespass and Third-Degree Arson charges.
The suspect’s identity is not available for release at this time, pending his Initial Appearance and Arraignment in Fremont County Circuit Court.
