(Lander, WY) – Lander Presents returned for its second installment of the 2026 season last night, bringing Memphis-rooted alt-country outfit Lucero to City Park. Fronted by Ben Nichols’ gravelly rock-and-roll vocals, the band has spent over two decades blending punk energy with country and soul influences. They’ve built an award-winning catalog of toe tappers that have crowds like the one in City Park last night singing along.

Every time the band rolled into one of the hits, more hands went up and more voices joined in. By the middle of the set, the whole crowd near the stage was moving and grooving as the band got through their biggest hits.
Mother Nature cooperated, too. Thick cloud cover kept the evening cool, which was a welcome break from recent conditions. As the set went on, the sky delivered its own show with a burst of purple, pink, and orange lighting up the western corner above the park, shining into the crowd through the bottom of the cottonwood trees.
