McDonald’s of Central Wyoming recently hosted another Breakfast Meet & Greet with Riverton City Hall, bringing plenty of McGriddles, hot coffee, and good conversation to start the day.
One of the morning’s most exciting topics was Riverton’s upcoming time capsule, which will be buried in City Park following the Fourth of July parade and remain sealed until July 4, 2051. City leaders shared plans to fill the capsule with pieces of today’s Riverton, creating a snapshot of life for future generations.
Among the items being considered are photos, yearbooks, newspaper clippings, Little League team pictures, sound bites stored on a thumb drive, a County 10 sticker, and even a McDonald’s menu complete with today’s prices. There was plenty of laughter imagining what residents in 2051 might think about the cost of a meal or a gallon of gas back in 2025.
The conversation naturally turned to careers and community. Craig Postel, Supervisor of McDonald’s of Central Wyoming, shared how his father began working at McDonald’s when he was just 16 years old. It has been his only job, and over the years, he worked his way up to ownership. His story is just one example of how McDonald’s can be much more than a first job, with many employees building long and successful careers with the company.
Giving back to the community was another topic close to everyone’s heart. McDonald’s continues to support organizations throughout Fremont County, including Eagle’s Hope and the Boys & Girls Club. Riverton McDonald’s Manager Shannon Rowles provides breakfast to Eagle’s Hope on the first of every month, continuing a tradition of serving those who serve others.

From preserving memories for 2051 to celebrating careers and local partnerships, the Breakfast Meet & Greet proved once again that some of the best conversations happen over coffee and a McGriddle.
