LANDER, WY – The Fremont County Library Foundation (FCLF) is proud to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the McMurry Library Endowment Fund, a component of the Wyoming Community Foundation. This funding will directly enhance library access and programming for the communities of Dubois, Lander, and Riverton.
With these funds, the three Fremont County libraries in Dubois, Lander, and Riverton will purchase hands-on literacy activities for preschoolers, expand the selection of books and audiobooks for early and struggling readers, enhance literacy program opportunities, and develop long-term plans for collaboration with our schools. The Foundation’s mission is to raise awareness and secure funding to ensure our libraries remain vital centers of learning, culture, and connection. This grant will directly benefit the youth population of our county.
“This grant moves us forward in providing more resources for parents and children to foster reading development,” said Library Director Anita Marple. “Our vision is to develop new programs and collaborations that help children become skilled readers.”
