Today we are giving a shout-out to all our wonderful support groups! The three library Friends groups and the Fremont County Library Foundation have been of indispensable service to our library system for many years, and we would certainly not be where we are today without them.
Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Riverton Branch Library, Friends of the Dubois Branch Library, and the Lander Library Friends Association make your library experience better every day by providing funds for programs, books, DVDs, and other essentials to keep our libraries thriving. Donations of time and money enable us to keep bringing new experiences to your libraries even in challenging times. Each Friends group holds regular used book opportunities to raise money for the libraries. Please check out these September events:
Dubois Friends Book Fair: Saturday, September 13, 11:00am-2:00pm at the Dubois Branch Library
Riverton Friends Book Balcony: September 3, 6, 19 and 27, 11:00am-3:00pm at the Riverton Branch Library
Lander Friends Book Nook regular hours: Tuesdays 1:00-5:00pm, Fridays 12:00-4:00pm, Saturdays 10:30am-2:30pm at the Lander Public Library
Library Foundation
The Fremont County Library Foundation is vital in raising funds and spreading awareness about the importance of libraries to our communities. Their work has elevated our libraries with grants to support literacy development, purchasing digital audiobooks and ebooks, funding staff training, and so many past projects. This year the Library Foundation is contributing a special grant of $100,000 to support operational expenses for our libraries to help offset the loss of property tax funding.
