(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, March 3, will have increasing clouds ahead of an upper-level low pressure center that is taking aim toward Colorado, as well as a weak, mid-level circulation approaching Wyoming.
Lipson also shared that at the same time, a cold front will be swinging down from the north, at which point southwest winds will shift to the north, gusting up to 40 mph and ushering in colder air. We could even see a few rain showers by sunset, Lipson added, with rain showers turning into snow showers tonight, expected to continue through the night.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that some areas could see up to an inch or two of snow accumulation.
High temperatures will be in the lower 50’s and 40’s for most today, with lows tonight in the 20’s.
