(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, August 2, we could once again break the record for the hottest August day ever with a blistering high temperature of 104 degrees, as that area of high pressure over the desert southwest strengthens and expands into Wyoming.
Skies will be sunny and we’ll have west winds increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 mph by afternoon, and the minimum relative humidity will dip all the way down to 5%, so fire danger will increase today.
Tonight, a cold front will sweep across the area as winds veer slightly to the west-northwest at speeds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 mph, and lows will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.
