(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, November 23, will continue to be mild, with mostly sunny skies.
Lipson says cloud coverage will thicken this afternoon though, as a cold front and an associated trough of low pressure approach the area, which could cause an isolated rain or snow shower to move in from the mountains into the Lander foothills later in the day.
Southwest winds should increase to gusts up to 30 mph ahead of the front, and Lipson says to expect partly to mostly cloudy skies tonight after some isolated rain/snow showers, once again mainly over the Lander foothills.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that snow will develop over western portions late this morning into the afternoon, and advises that the heavier snow will occur in the mountains.
High temperatures will be in the lower 50’s for most today, with Dubois at 43 degrees and the South Pass area in the upper 30’s.
Lows tonight will be in the 20’s and lower 30’s.
