(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that last night’s cold front will bring cooler temperatures and partly to mostly cloudy conditions today, December 30.
Lipson added that scattered snow showers will be around much of the day, especially between Boysen Dam and the Wind River Canyon, southeast of Moneta and much of northeast and eastern Fremont County, where heavier snowbands will likely form. Lipson says we could see 1-3 inches of snow in those areas, with an additional 1-3 inches on the eastern slope of the Wind River Mountains.
Snow flurries will continue throughout the night under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that snow will taper off across western Wyoming throughout the day.
High temperatures will be in the 30’s for most today, with lows tonight in the teens and the South Pass area down in the single digits.
