(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, August 8, will have noticeably cooler temperatures thanks to the strong cold front that moved into the area yesterday.
Lipson says that this front will stall just to our south and west along the Continental Divide, which will give us another afternoon and evening of scattered thunderstorms, some of which will have locally heavy rainfall, small hail and gusty winds up to 45 mph, with cloudy skies tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that temperatures will be at or slightly below normal through the weekend, which will see more widespread showers as well.
High temperatures for today will be in the 70’s and upper 60’s, with lows tonight in the 40’s and lower 50’s.
