(Fremont County, WY) – Along with the Extreme Heat Warning issued for this weekend, the National Weather Service in Riverton has also issued a Fire Weather Watch for Fremont County, effective Sunday morning through Sunday evening, July 12.
A Fire Weather Watch means critical fire weather conditions are forecast, and residents should keep an eye out for possible Red Flag Warnings.
The NWSR is calling for south-to-southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, a relative humidity as low as 5 percent, and high temperatures between 98 and 108 degrees.
The advisory is also in effect for Natrona, Big Horn, Hot Springs, Johnson, Park, and Washakie Counties.
