(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a High Wind Warning for today, March 12, through 9 PM, for the Upper Wind River Basin, Wind River Basin, and Lander Foothills areas. This includes Riverton, Wamsutter, Dubois, Lander, and Shoshoni.
The NWSR says west winds of 35 to 45 mph, with gusts up to 65 mph, are expected.
Travel could be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.
