(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued an Extreme Heat Warning, effective from 12 PM on Saturday, July 11, through 9 PM on Monday, July 13. The warning is for portions of central, north central, northwest, south central, southwest, and west central Wyoming, including most all of Fremont County.
The NWSR says to expect “Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures 100 to 110 degrees below 6,000 feet and 90 to 100 degrees between 6,000 and 7,500 feet each day.”
The NWSR advises that “Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events,” and that folks should “Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.”
