(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton (NWSR) has issued a Fire Weather Watch for tomorrow, October 4, from the afternoon into the evening.
The Watch is in effect for the following areas: Fremont, Natrona, Johnson, Sweetwater, Uinta, Lincoln and Sublette Counties.
The Watch is in effect due to low humidity (as low as 10%) and strong gusty winds (up to 50 mph), which could cause erratic fire behavior.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
