(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Flood Advisory for southeastern Fremont County, effective until 8:45 PM tonight, September 19.
“At 546 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms, the NWSR reported in the advisory. “Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.”
“This includes the following streams and drainages: Little Popo Agie River, Baldwin Creek, North Fork Popo Agie River, Grant Young Ditch, North Fork Ditch, Middle Popo Agie River, Popo Agie River and Squaw Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include: Lander, Milford and Lander Hunt Field.”
