(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Flood Watch for portions of central, north central, northwest, south central, southwest, and west central Wyoming, including Fremont County, in effect today, July 21, “through late Wednesday night,” July 22.
The NWSR is calling for “flooding caused by excessive rainfall,” with the most likely period of possible flooding being Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.
“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations,” the NWST notes in the advisory.
