(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a heat advisory for the Lander Foothills, Wind River Basin areas, that is in effect today, July 11, until 10:00 PM on July 14.
The advisory is specifically for Shoshoni, Lander, Riverton and the immediate surrounding areas.
The NWSR is advising of afternoon temperatures near or exceeding 100 degrees over
multiple days, and warns that prolonged, near-record temperatures may cause
heat-related illnesses.
