(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag Warning, in effect today, April 22, until 8 PM this evening.
“A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.”
The NWSR is calling for low humidity (as low as 10 to 13%) and strong, gusty southwest winds up to 25 to 40 mph (with gusts up to 55 mph and occasional gusts of 60 mph).
