(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for central Fremont County, including Lander, Riverton, Fort Washakie and Hudson areas, in effect until at least 4:30 PM, June 27.
“At 354 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Fort Washakie to near Hudson to near Red Canyon, moving northeast at 60 mph,” the NWSR reports. Pea-sized hail is possible during the thunderstorm.
Severe thunderstorms will be near Riverton, Arapahoe, and Kinnear around 4 PM and at Ocean Lake around 4:05 PM. Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include Boysen State Park and Hidden Valley.
