(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, effective starting today, December 4, at 5 PM, through Saturday, December 6, at 2 PM.
The Advisory is for the areas of Wind River Mountains West and Upper Green River Basin Foothills.
The NWSR says total snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches are likely in the Bondurant/Hoback Junction area, 2 to 4 inches near Pinedale, and 10 to 18 inches in the mountains. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph over South Pass are also expected Friday night.
The NWSR also advises that travel could be very difficult through Hoback Junction, and that the hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
