(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has shared some numbers concerning the recent winter storm and Arctic cold front that hit Fremont County, which finally brought both snow and cold temperatures after what has been a truly mild winter season.
In terms of snowfall, Lander definitely got hit the hardest, with Fort Washakie and the South Pass/Sinks Canyon areas not far behind.
The Arctic cold front also brought in the coldest temperatures of the season so far, with Jeffrey City and Riverton dropping down to -25 degrees and -19 degrees on Sunday morning.
Those temperatures are likely to be topped tonight though, according to both the NWSR and County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson.
