(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton (NWSR) has shared that after a wet day yesterday, warmer temperatures, low humidity and breezy conditions will bring a return of elevated fire weather to portions of the area today, August 27.
Temperatures will be back in the 80’s, along with winds gusting up to 25 mph, and a relative humidity of 12-18%.
In addition to Fremont County, the warning is for Sweetwater, Johnson and Natrona counties.
The NWSR has also already issued a fire weather watch for tomorrow, August 28, which will include Big Horn, Hot Springs, Johnson, Park and Washakie counties, in addition to the ones mentioned above.
“A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.”
