(Shoshoni, WY) – On July 14, the Shoshoni Police Department issued a release detailing the arrest of former Shoshoni Senior Center Assistant Director Jeannie Kroenke, who was charged with one count of exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
In response to the allegation, charge, and subsequent investigation, the Shoshoni Senior Center’s Board of Directors issued a statement affirming their dedication to providing quality care for seniors while they cooperate with law enforcement investigation.

The Board of Directors of the Shoshoni Senior Center is aware of the recent arrest of a Senior Center employee on allegations involving the financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult. We recognize the seriousness of these allegations and the concern they may cause for our participants, their families, and the community.
The Shoshoni Senior Center remains committed to fulfilling the public trust placed in our organization. The health, safety, dignity, and well-being of the seniors who rely on our services are our highest priorities and we want our participants and their loved ones to know that services will continue uninterrupted.
“Our commitment to the seniors of this community has not changed,” the Board said in a joint statement. “We take these allegations seriously and will continue to do everything within our authority to ensure the Senior Center remains a safe, welcoming, and trusted resource for the people we serve.”
The employee has been placed on leave, and the Senior Center is cooperating with the appropriate authorities and remains committed to upholding the public trust placed in our organization.
Center Director Rykki Neale added, “The Shoshoni Senior Center is and always will be dedicated to the care, dignity, and safety of our seniors. We are grateful for the trust our community places in us, and we remain focused on providing the support, services, and companionship that our participants depend on every day.”
The statement concludes by informing that the Senior Center will have “no further comment regarding the allegations at this time,” and that “the Board remains committed to serving the community with transparency, accountability, and compassion.”
