UPDATE – As of at least 4:30, the estimated time of restoration is now before 12 AM tonight.
(Lander, WY) – A downed power line on S 9th Street near Spriggs Drive in Lander has left 420 Rocky Mountain Power customers without power.
The report came in around 3:04 PM, at which point County 10 overheard scanner traffic that indicated a logging vehicle may have impacted the powerline.
Around 3:30 PM, County 10 made contact with LPD officers on scene, who stated that S 9th Street from Dabich Ave. to Cascade Street would be closed to traffic while crews assessed the scene.
The Rocky Mountain Power outage map states that the downed line was caused by a “vehicle accident,” and that the estimated time of restoration is before 6:30 PM tonight.
County 10 will continue to provide updates as they become available.
