(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, August 9, will be partly cloudy and cool.
Lipson says that warm, dry air west of the Continental Divide will clash with cool, moist air to the east, resulting in a likelihood of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, especially for Fremont County.
Lipson added that these storms could produce locally heavy rainfall, small hail and gusty winds up to 45 mph, and will linger into evening hours, with cloudy skies tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that high temperatures for today will be in the 70’s for most, with lows tonight in the 40’s and lower 50’s.
