(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, January 7, will be partly sunny and windy, with southwest winds gusting up to 40 mph. Southeast Fremont County will likely see gusts of up to 50 and possibly 55 mph. Lipson added that Togwotee Pass could receive another 5 inches of snow from that moist westerly Pacific fetch of air.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with 20-30 mph southwest winds diminishing after midnight, and another 3 inches of new snow for Togwotee Pass.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that highs will vary across Fremont today, with most areas in the 40s, Dubois at 35 degrees, and the South Pass area at 29 degrees. Lows tonight will be in the lower 30s and upper 20s.
