(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, January 5, will have partly sunny skies, with a brief period of 20-30 mph winds blowing from the southwest this afternoon (southeast Fremont County will have gusts of up to 40-45 mph). South Pass and Togwotee Pass will likely have received 1-3 inches of snow today (mostly from this morning).
Tonight, another weather disturbance will track east across the area, increasing wind speeds up to 50 mph in southeast Fremont County, under partly cloudy skies. Lipson added that Togwotee Pass will pick up another 1-3 inches of snow tonight as well.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that highs will be in the 40s and lower 50s for most areas (South Pass and Dubois in the 30s), with lows tonight in the lower 20s and upper teens.
