(Riverton, WY) – Cool air and classic rodeo action came to the Grand Arena Wednesday night as the Wind River Rodeo Company put on the rodeo at the 114th Fremont County Fair in Riverton.

After a stretch of hot July evenings, temperatures dipped to something closer to what could be called sweatshirt weather, and the crowd in the grandstands seemed happy for the change as cowboys and cowgirls squared off in the rodeo’s events.
The bulls got the better of nearly everyone in the night’s marquee event. Kelly Harris was the only rider to make the eight-second whistle, and his lone qualified ride was more than enough to win the bull riding contest.

The action at the fairgrounds continues Thursday night with the Ranch Rodeo at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Arena, Monster Trucks Friday at 7:30, with the final event of the county fair, 4-cylinder Figure 8 Racing, taking place Saturday night.
